2010 MTV Movie Awards

The 2010 MTV Movie Awards took place Sunday, June 6, 2010 at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles. Highlights included a kiss between Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson and big wins for The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

Comedian Aziz Ansari hosted the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, known for his roles in the sitcom Parks and Recreation and most recently, the new movie Get Him to the Greek, starring past VMA host Russel Brand. There were performances from Christina Aguilera with a song off her new, upcoming album Bionic (available June 8, 2010) and Snoop Dogg and Katy Perry with their new summer single, California Gurls.

The Twilight Saga: New Moon won the biggest award of the night – Best Movie – beating out Alice in Wonderland, Avatar, The Hangover and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Best Male Performance went to Robert Pattinson in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Best Female Performance went to Kristen Stewart in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Breakthrough Performance went to Anna Kendrick in Up in the Air, Best Villain went to Tom Felton in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Best Comedic Performance went to Zach Galifianakis in The Hangover, Best Kiss went to Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, Best Fight went to Beyoncé Knowles vs. Ali Larter in Obsessed, Best WTF Moment went to Ken Jeong in The Hangover, Best Scared-As-Sh– Performance went to Amanda Seyfried in Jennifer’s Body, Biggest Badass Star went to Rain and Global Superstar went to Robert Pattinson.

One of the most talked about moments of the night was the kiss between Sandra Bullock and Scarlett Johansson. Johansson’s husband Ryan Reynolds (who could attend the awards show tonight) was nominated with Bullock for Best Kiss. They didn’t win the award, but Johansson wanted to get a kiss of her own from Bullock.
