Actress Tiffani Thiessen and actor Brady Smith welcomed their baby girl to the world, Harper Renn Smith, on Tuesday, June 15, 2010.
A rep for Tiffani Thiessen and Brady Smith say both the baby and the parents are doing very well. Harper Renn Smith weighed in at eight pounds and three ounces.
Thiessen, 36, and Smith, 38, married in 2005. The couple had said starting a family is “something we’ve wanted for a long time and we are thrilled that it’s actually happening.”
Tiffani Thiessen rose to fame as Kelly Kapowski on Saved by the Bell in the 1990′s and then went on to play Valerie Malone in Beverly Hills, 90210. She currently stars on USA’s crime-comedy drama, White Collar, which premiered last October and will be moving into it’s second season this fall.
Thiessen’s co-stars on hit TV series White Collar, say motherhood is something the actress is more than prepared for.
“She’s totally the den mother of the show,” costar Matt Bomer told PEOPLE in February. “She’s so organized and so loving and generous — that can only make her an absolutely amazing mom.”
“She’ll make a great mom,” added costar Tim DeKay.
Tiffani Thiessen had said she was going to “give a Girl Scout effort to hypnobirthing.” Hypnobirthing is a practice that uses self-hypnosis to stay calm while delivering.
“I’m really excited about it,” Thiessen had told Pregnancy magazine. “That’s my plan, but my husband and I are both very, very open to however the child is supposed to come out. Knock on wood it all goes well. I’m not one to judge any woman on how they choose to give birth. It’s individual and I think everyone’s different.”
When speaking about parenting, Thiessen told UsMagazine.com, “I’m a wing-it kind of girl. My husband’s a little more of a worrier, so it will be interesting to see how [fatherhood] works for him. But one of the reasons I married that guy is because I knew he was going to be great with kids.”
