Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh announced, Wednesday, July 7,2010, that they will be playing together in Miami for the Heat.
“We’ve wanted to play with each other and we have a golden opportunity to do that. We’re going to take advantage of it,” Bosh — the “we” being Wade — said Wednesday on ESPN’s “SportsCenter.”
“I expect us to compete for a championship,” Bosh told ESPN. “I think both Dwyane and I, we both wanted an opportunity where right away we would be competing. … We’re ready to sacrifice a lot of things in order to do that. It’s not about the money. It’s not about anything else except for winning. I’m a winner. Dwyane’s a winner. We’re going to bring winning to Miami.”
Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh will be signing with the Miami Heat not knowing the terms of their contracts. That is because their paychecks will be determined by where LeBron James goes. If James goes to the Miami Heat, all three NBA stars will be taking a pay cut.
Now that two of the three big free agents, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, have chosen to sign with the Heat, many wonder how this will affect LeBron James’ decision. If LeBron James decides to sign with Miami and play with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, they would be creating the one of the biggest trifectas in NBA history.
LeBron James will be announcing his decision Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 9:00 p.m. EST on an hour-long special on ESPN.
