World Cup 2010 Finals: Spain vs Netherlands

The 2010 FIFA World Cup Finals will take place on Sunday, July 11 in South Africa featuring Spain vs Netherlands.

Netherlands won, beating Uruguay 3-2 on Tuesday, July 6 in the World Cup Semifinals.

Giovanni Van Bronckhorst, Wesley Sneijder and Arjen Robben scored the three goals for the Dutch. Diego Forlán and Maxi Pereira scored the two goals for Uruguay.

“If you win the final, you make yourself immortal, at least in our country,” Robben said. “We will do everything we can to take the Cup back.”

Spain won Wednesday, July 6, beating Germany 1-0 in the World Cup Semifinals.

Carles Puyol scored the one goal of the game for Spain.

This will be Spain’s first-ever World Cup Finals appearance.

“This is one of the greatest moments for Spain, for us to be in the final of the World Cup, it’s history,” said David Villa of Spain. “And we want to make more history in the final.”

Spain will play Netherlands in the 2010 FIFA World Cup Finals in South American on Sunday, July 11 at 2:30 p.m. EST.

Uruguay will play Germany for 3rd place in South Africa on Saturday, July 10 at 2:30 p.m. EST.
