Mel Gibson’s ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva has allegedly told police that Gibson plotted to kill TMZ’s Executive Producer Harvey Levin.
Oksana Grigorieva’s representative, Steve Jaffe, told TMZ’s Harvey Levin that Mel Gibson told Grigorieva about a plot to kill Levin. Jaffe said Grigorieva claimed Gibson told her he was furious that TMZ broke the story about his anti-Semitic rant in 2006 after his DUI arrest. According to Grigorieva, Mel had said he wanted the “blood of Jews” on his hands.
She went on to say that Gibson hired someone to do surveillance on Levin, following him to the gym at 4:00 a.m. Gibson’s alleged plot was to kidnap Levin and take him into the desert where he would break his kneecaps and leave him to die.
Interestingly enough, Jaffe told Levin about this after TMZ did a story that was not very favorable to Grigorieva.
The alleged death plot was investigated and turned out to be false. Grigorieva’s details didn’t add up. The gym she claimed Gibson had someone follow him to was the wrong gym. In addition, it makes no sense why she wouldn’t have brought this up to the lawyers back in May when she was negotiating a $15 million package. According to sources, she gave every bit of dirt she had on Gibson as leverage in May.
Oksana Grigorieva claims to have told the Sheriff’s Department about Gibson’s death plot, but authorities never contacted Levin about it. Which leads TMZ to believe that this story was recently fabricated.
Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Steve Whitmore tells TMZ, “We categorically deny that any such information was ever given to the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department.”
