An In Touch source has said that Kate Gosselin and her eight kids will be going camping with Sarah Palin in Alaska on an upcoming episode of the TLC hit Kate Plus Eight.
“Sarah, Kate and the kids will go camping,” a source says.
“She’s excited because it will be fun and educational for the children. Sarah will even teach Kate how to avoid bears!” the source added, speaking of Sarah Palin’s excitement.
The source also says Sarah Palin’s dad, a retired science teacher, and her brother, a third-grade teacher, will conduct a hands-on natural history lesson for 9-year-old twins Mady and Cara, and 6-year-old sextuplets Aaden, Joel, Collin, Leah, Hannah and Alexis.
It’s probably no coincidence that Sarah Palin is getting her own show on TLC as well, called Sarah Palin’s Alaska. Sarah Palin’s Alaska will be an eight-part documentary series about Governor Palin and her home state of Alaska. Slated to premiere on TLC, the series will be executive produced by Emmy-award winner Mark Burnett of Survivor.
“TLC is grounded in great storytelling, strong characters, and passionate audiences drawn to extraordinary people doing extraordinary things. We are confident Sarah Palin’s Alaska will be another compelling television event,” said Eileen O’Neill, president and general manager, TLC.
“With a dynamic personality that has captivated millions, I can’t think of anyone more compelling than Sarah Palin to tell the story of Alaska,” said Mark Burnett.
It would be no surprise for TLC to use Sarah Palin’s appearance on Kate Plus Eight as an opportunity to promote the new show and hopefully grab viewers’ interest in Sarah Palin.
