Bravo’s The Real Housewives franchise is expanding to the U.S. capital in hopes of finding just as much (if not more) drama as the previous franchises have. The Real Housewives of Washington D.C. will premiere tonight, August 5 on Bravo TV.
The five women that make up the real housewives of D.C. all attend important cultural events, political galas, gallery openings, and fundraisers in Washington society. Check out the cast:
Stacie Scott Turner
Stacie is an Alexandria, VA native, is married to Jason Turner, has two young kids and a busy social life. Her passion is the charity she founded called Extra-Ordinary Life, which provides life-changing experiences to teenage girls living in D.C. foster care.
Michaele has already been in the media for crashing a White House party with her husband Tareq. Originally from Northern Virgina, Michaele and husband Tareq together founded America’s Polo Cup, for which he is the U.S. team captain. Michaele is heavily involved in charity work, including being an advocate and fundraising for MS and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Catherine, originally from England, married her high school sweetheart and moved to the U.S. with her two daughters. Catherine is an interior designer and author. Her no-nonsense attitude is sure to stir things up in D.C.
Mary Schmidt Amons
Mary is the granddaughter of legendary radio and TV personality Arthur Godfrey. She has been married to her husband Rich for over 20 years and has five children. Mary is the founder of “Labels for Love” and co-founder of “The District Sample Sale,” two D.C.-based charities.
Lynda, originally from the south, is the founder of one of the top modeling agencies in D.C. – T.H.E Artist Agency. Lynda is a divorced mother of four who is currently dating a much younger man by the name of Ebong.
