If you have nothing to look forward to this week, then look forward to Tuesday, August 10. Entrepreneur and designer Marc Ecko will unveil his Cut & Sew ad campaign showcasing the tumultuous and infamous Lindsay Lohan. Sounds to me like Marc is pretending to be an Andy Warhol as Lindsay is his Edie Sedgwick, and things did not end so favorably for Edie.
Prior to a notorious jail sentence and disappointing release, Lindsay Lohan posed and modeled for Marc Ecko’s Cut & Sew ad campaign. The interactive campaign, debuting August 10, will feature online videos of the actress/singer shot by Markus Klinko and Indrani of Bravo’s Double Exposure, as well as traditional images for print. Teaser photos of Lindsay include provocative props such as cigarettes, alcohol, oversized scissors, a ninja costume, and a little peak-a-boob. Consumers can expect a complete virtual experience and hologrammed Lindsay Lohan’s.
Marc is quoted as being captivated by Lindsay, which is why he chose her for his multimedia winter/fall 2010 ad campaign. Marc said, “I cast Lindsay because people are fascinated with her – they can either feel good or bad things, but they are feeling some type of emotion. She’s a pop culture icon.”

Not fair. I want to be a muse.
