Rumor has it that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, from MTV’s show Jersey Shore, will be on the next season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.
The Situation’s popularity has skyrocketed over the last year, and after the ratings reality TV star Kate Gosselin brought to the show last season, it would make sense that ABC would want the faster rising reality TV star on their next season of Dancing with the Stars.
“He’s going to be the Kate Gosselin of the new season,” a source close to the situation told E! “Minus the fact that we think people on set will probably like him.”
Yesterday it was reported that Mike Sorrentino was estimated to make $5 million in 2010, and that was before it was announced that he may be on DWTS.
Audrina Patridge of The Hills, former Dallas Cowboy quarterback Troy Aikman, singer Brandy and The Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky and her fiance, Roberto Martinez are also reportedly set to compete on the next season of Dancing with the Stars.
The entire season 11 cast of Dancing with the Stars is expected to be announced Monday, Aug. 30, after ABC’s Bachelor Pad.
