As if Angelina Jolie weren’t busy enough with her acting career, six kids and humanitarian efforts, she is now going to write, direct and produce her own film.
Angelina Jolie’s new project will be a film about a love story set during the Bosnian War.
“The film focuses on a Serbian man and a Bosnian woman who meet on the eve of the war and the effect the war has on their relationship,” Graham King’s GK Films announced.
Angelina Jolie traveled to Bosnia in April, so she has some background for the screenplay she wrote for this movie.
Jolie has described the film as “a love story, not a political statement,” adding, “I would like to involve as many local people as I can.”
That being said, she will be searching outside Hollywood for the cast. The actors for her new film will be from “various ethnicities from the region of the former Yugoslavia,” says the film company.
There have been reports that Angelina might also act in this movie, but the film company says that will not be the case.
