Paris Hilton’s felony cocaine arrest and charges may mean that Las Vegas nightclubs won’t be booking her for party appearances for a while.
Paris Hilton has been one of the most sought after celebrities for Las Vegas nightclubs, but it now appears that nightclub owners see a risk in booking her after Hilton’s felony drug arrest last Friday night in Vegas.
“Because Vegas nightclubs are under so much scrutiny right now, I don’t know how welcome she would be,” says a club executive who has booked Paris Hilton in the past to host parties. “Considering she’s busted for cocaine, people might assume that she’s going to the club either to use coke or she’s already on coke, and no club wants to be associated with that.”
The Las Vegas Gaming Control Board recently shut down a Vegas nightclub because of several infractions, including drugs allegedly being used on the premises.
“A club would never be allowed to book Paris for an appearance right now,” says a former club executive who has booked Paris Hilton in the past. “A club would want to book her because of the press it would generate right now, but it would never happen because no one wants to jeopardize gaming licensing or liquor licensing.”
The former club executive continues, saying Paris Hilton wouldn’t be denied access into a club as a patron, but “her bag would be checked before entering the club.”
In the past, Paris Hilton has been paid as much as $125,000 to host parties in Las Vegas, so this could take a heavy hit on her income.
