Michael Douglas undergoes a tough course of treatment for his throat cancer.
The 65 year old Oscar winner tells People Magazine that his exhausting radiation and chemotherapy treatment “really knocks you out.”
Douglas revealed to People Magazine that he had received his diagnoses in early August, after continuous ear and throat pain.
His wife, actress Catherine Zeta Jones, tells People how difficult it is seeing Douglas fatigued, with less energy after his treatment, but believes, “if there’s anything Michael has, it’s strength.”
Zeta Jones told People Magazine that she and Douglas had to sit their children, 10 year old Dylan, and 7 year old Carys, to break the news of his illness.
The diagnoses follows “a pretty intense year” after Douglas’ son was given a five year prison sentence on drug charges.
Be sure to catch Douglas in his latest film, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, out on September 24th.
