Timeless designer Tommy Hilfiger celebrates his collection’s 25th anniversary by releasing 1,000 copies of a special edition, 144 page book that is formatted like a photo album. The book expresses familial intimate moments and his life throughout.
“This book is a culmination of my life’s work, sharing some of my innermost thoughts throughout the years,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “The Tommy Hilfiger brand has existed for 25 years, but I’ve been designing all my life. This book is the equivalent of me telling a friend about my family, how I got to where I am today, and where I want to go from here. My hope is that everyone has as much fun reading it as I did making it.”
The glossy book is available for $550 at Assouline online and select Tommy Hilfiger boutiques. The book comes in a “linen presentation box with an embroidered logo patch” and ”includes tributes by admirers from Anna Wintour to Quincy Jones,” as described by Assouline.
(This book looks more like a son’s baseball team’s scrapbook than a sophisticated, fashionable Tommy Hilfiger coffee table book – limited edition. My guests wouldn’t think twice about setting their wine glass on this thing.)
