Jersey Shore star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi appeared in court today for the sentencing related to her arrest on July 30 in Seaside Heights, New Jersey.
Snooki was arrested in July for disorderly conduct after police said she appeared excessively intoxicated.
She faced a judge today for her sentencing, who gave her only 2 days of community service and a $533 fine. The light sentence didn’t go without some stern lecturing from the presiding judge Damian G. Murray.
Judge Murray called Snooki a “Lindsay Lohan wannabe” and told her that “Going through life rude, profane, obnoxious and self-indulgent – that’s not the way you want to live your life. Hopefully this incident will impress upon you that there are consequences to your actions.”
Judge Murray also said he didn’t know if her antics were scripted, adding, if it was scripted Snooki needed to decide “if it was worth trading your dignity for a paycheck.”
Snooki already completed one day of her community service last Sunday at Popcorn Park Zoo in New Jersey. The general manager says Snooki’s tasks included cleaning out animal pens, which reportedly is a task that involved a lot of poop removal. According to the judge, she’ll spend her second day of community service with animal control in Jersey Shore.
