Jennifer Lopez will be joining the panel of Idol judges for the show’s 10th season.
Lopez’s first attempt at joining Idol failed last month because her demands had reportedly gotten “out of hand.”
Lopez signed her $12 million contract two weeks after DioGuardi confirmed she was leaving the show, just like both Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres.
Lopez was reportedly hoping for other movie and TV contracts, along with a higher Idol salary. She also wanted a say in who her co-judges would be, but when Fox wouldn’t agree, she settled for the $12 million (only?!).
A source close to Lopez claimed,“She’s very excited.” Fox and Lopez’s reps made no comments.
There’s no official news on who the other judges would be. Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler said he will “probably” be a judge. Harry Connick Jr., Shania Twain, Chris Isaak, and Elton John were also rumored to be judges.
