Lady Gaga’s Meat Dress Now Beef Jerky?

Whatever happened to Lady Gaga’s meat dress that she sported at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards? It’s going to turn into beef jerky.

Lady Gaga’s famous meat dress wasn’t grilled and served with the vegetables from the veggie swimsuit Ellen DeGeneres gave her. Rather, the dress will be “archived,” along with the meat shoes and purse.

Designer Franc Fernandez told E! Online,“The dress will go through a process where it becomes a sort of ‘jerky’.” This will keep the dress…fresh…for display.

Fernandez says that over time, the transformation of the meat into jerky is natural. “The meat dries out, rather than rotting. But it shouldn’t be worn again.”

Fernandez told MTV Style that he bought 50 pounds of meat and designed the dress for Lady Gaga. It took him three days, in which he had to refrigerate it during breaks.

Fernandez doesn’t plan on designing another meat dress. “There’s not going to be meat dresses in the future. This was made for a specific purpose. It’s what it is.”

I wonder if Ellen DeGeneres had to refrigerate her veggie bikini too.
