It’s Britney B****: Britney Spears Rocks Glee!

(…Or should I say Glee rocked Britney Spears?) The highly anticipated Britney Spears episode of Glee aired tonight and it was toxic.

And by toxic, I mean so amazing that Twitter even went down for a bit with all the Britney and Glee trending commotion.

The Britney Spears frenzy began after Carl, a dentist played by guest star John Stamos (aka sexy Uncle Jesse) gives Brittany (Heather Morris) and Santana (Naya Rivera) laughing gas during a dental procedure. This “mild narcotic” sent the girls into a Britney Spears dreamland, where they became and met Britney.

Though she plays a ditsy blond on the show, Morris showed off her dancing and singing chops, performing a “Slave For You” solo and a “Me Against The Music” duet with Rivera. After tonight’s episode, I definitely agree with Brittany, she should have more solos!

In Artie’s (Kevin McHale) Britney Spears daydream, Britney gives Artie courage to perform and get “Stronger” to join the football team. His version of the hit added variety to the rest of the female performances.

Rachel (Lea Michele) was next in the dentist’s chair and got her dose of Britney, performing “Baby One More Time.” Is it just me, or did this performance emphasize how much weight Michele has lost?

Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) finally gives in to Glee club’s desire to do Britney Spears for the homecoming performance. When he and his students performed “Toxic,” Sue’s (Jane Lynch) warnings were right: they caused a sex-riot.

The episode also drew on Will’s (Morrison) yearnings to get Emma (Jayma Mays) away from Carl (Stamos). Fans also saw Rachel and Finn’s relationship hang in the balance because of the couple’s individual insecurities.

In all honesty, Britney Spears is great, but I’m happier that sexy Uncle Jesse is now on Glee!

I want to see Glee tackle boy bands next (Backstreet Boys on Glee! Who’s with me?!).

I must say, I have never watched GLEE before, but after hearing all of the hype about the Britney theme, I thought I would see what it was all about. THE SHOW IS INCREDIBLE!!! I will definitely be watching it, and I am glad that the cast was able to bring back a decent name for Britney. She was bashed for quite a long time, but she is a talented performer and the cast of GLEE did an exceptional job!

A committed soap opera freak--err, fan, Rolla Bahsous was thrilled to begin her professional writing career writing about everything soaps. But her love for television did not stop at daytime! Rolla is excited to be using her guilty pleasure, following celebrity gossip, at Rolla's had a few encounters with her favorite celebs, including a fingertip brush and a "Take care, sweetheart" from Michael Buble, as well as a flying kiss from Nick Carter - in both incidents Rolla forgot how to breathe. Rolla's University of Toronto degree in communications, political science, and theater is evidence of her diverse interests. When she is not writing, Rolla enjoys her obsession with fairies, coffee shops, and working out, (while watching television, of course!).
