After just two episodes, My Generation became the second casualty of the 2010-11 TV season with ABC canceling the new drama.
My Generation was a documentary-style drama about a documentary crew following a disparate group of high schoolers from Greenbelt High School in Austin, TX as they prepare for graduation. The former classmates are revisited ten years later as they return home to rediscover that just because they’re not where they planned doesn’t mean they’re not right where they need to be.
Unfortunately the story line must have not been intriguing enough, because the show dropped more than 30% from 5.17 million viewers for the premiere episode to 3.82 million viewers for the second episode.
This ABC drama wasn’t the first to get the ax. Fox canceled its show Lone Star after just two episodes as well.
My Generation starred Michael Stahl-David as Steven, Kelli Garner as Dawn, Jaime King as Jacqueline, Keir O’Donnell as Kenneth, Sebastian Sozzi as he Falcon, Mechad Brooks as Rolly, Anne Son as Caroline, Daniella Alonso as Brenda and Julian Morris as Anders.
My Generation aired on Thursday at 8/7 c. It is not yet known what ABC will fill that timeslot with.
