Avril Lavigne Next Celebrity Chef?

Could Avril Lavigne be Jamie Oliver and Rachel Ray’s new competition?

The pop-punk princess told People on Saturday that she loves cooking. “I’ve always been obsessed with cooking. I can make anything.”

Lavigne boasted about her cooking talent in Las Vegas, where she celebrated her 26th birthday at MGM Grand’s Wet Republic. She admitted that she asked for cooking utensils for her birthday.

“I got some spatulas with skulls on them and some fun stuff for my kitchen. I swear to God, my family asked me what I wanted and I said I wanted a serving bowl and all these things for my kitchen. I asked for a stone plate to put in my oven to cook and crazy stuff like that.”

The pop-star-slash-cook said she likes showing off her cooking skills at dinner parties, where Yorkshire pudding is her “specialty.”

I say Lavigne gets her own cooking show, but she’d have to sing the recipe. Genius idea, right?

A committed soap opera freak--err, fan, Rolla Bahsous was thrilled to begin her professional writing career writing about everything soaps. But her love for television did not stop at daytime! Rolla is excited to be using her guilty pleasure, following celebrity gossip, at FabulousBuzz.com. Rolla's had a few encounters with her favorite celebs, including a fingertip brush and a "Take care, sweetheart" from Michael Buble, as well as a flying kiss from Nick Carter - in both incidents Rolla forgot how to breathe. Rolla's University of Toronto degree in communications, political science, and theater is evidence of her diverse interests. When she is not writing, Rolla enjoys her obsession with fairies, coffee shops, and working out, (while watching television, of course!).
