Rapper T.I. had his probation revoked by a federal judge today in Atlanta and was sentenced to 11 months in prison for violating the terms of his supervised released.
T.I.’s heroic act of saving a suicidal man in Atlanta Wednesday wasn’t enough to keep him out of jail.
T.I. was arrested last month, along with his wife Tameka Cottle, for felony possession of a controlled substance. T.I. was still on probation following a seven-month prison term he completed in March on weapons charges.
The prosecution in this case was aiming for 2 years in prison for T.I., but his pleas to the judge to lessen his punishment and instead help him with his drug dependency lessened the jail time.
T.I. has two weeks to turn himself in to the authorities to serve his jail time.
