Beverly McClendon filed a $1 million lawsuit against Tyra Banks for featuring her 15-year-old daughter, Jewel Ciera Washington, on her talk show about sex addiction.
A self-proclaimed “sex-addict,” Washington appeared on Banks’ talk show in October 2009. The 15-year-old shocked the audience, including her mother, McClendon.
McClendon is accusing Banks of negligence and violating a right of privacy. She also claimed that she never consented to have her underage daughter on the show. McClendon further insists that her daughter was never diagnosed as a sex-addict.
The court papers stated that McClendon “suffered damages as a result of the defendants’ negligence.” The papers were filed on October 8th and state that McClendon also “filed a missing person’s report with the local police department” after she found that her daughter secretly left her home.
Banks’ reps weren’t available for a comment.
All I can say is: Yikes.
