A source told People, “Police responded to a call for an intoxicated male.” The source confirmed that Sheen was taken to the hospital, “in the company of a female, unharmed.”

The Two and a Half Men star was removed from the hotel for “alcohol abuse and psychological evaluation.” He was taken to New York Columbia Presbyterian Hospital by ambulance. There was no arrest made as Sheen was considered an “aided case.”

“I believe he was irrational and intoxicated,” a police source told People.

On the other hand, Sheen’s rep says, “What we are able to determine is that Charlie had an adverse allergic reaction to some medication and was taken to the hospital, where is expected to be released tomorrow.”

The Plaza Hotel security placed a call to the police and when they got to Sheen’s room, it was reportedly trashed.

Sheen, who recently underwent rehab, gave his daughter away at her wedding a month ago. He was reportedly visiting New York City with ex-wife Denise Richards, 39, and their two daughters. Richards reportedly accompanied Sheen to the hospital.
