Oprah Winfrey Banning the B-Word?

Oprah Winfrey has some rules for her new network, OWN.

Winfrey hints that her upcoming network will have “fun and entertainment without tearing people down and calling them bitches.”

Though she didn’t explicitly ban the b-word, Winfrey’s intentions are close.

“Imagine that. Imagine,” Winfrey stated in a speech at the Women’s Conference in California this week.

OWN is set to launch in January. Winfrey is currently shooting the last season of The Oprah Winfrey Show, and says that leaving her talk show to “start out on this next chapter” won’t be easy.

“I know there’s going to be some stumbles. I know I’m a work in process and progress. I know nothing new is perfect, but I’m not scared. I’m not afraid,” Winfrey admitted at the conference.

All I have to say is: wait…when did Oprah get her own network?

A committed soap opera freak--err, fan, Rolla Bahsous was thrilled to begin her professional writing career writing about everything soaps. But her love for television did not stop at daytime! Rolla is excited to be using her guilty pleasure, following celebrity gossip, at FabulousBuzz.com. Rolla's had a few encounters with her favorite celebs, including a fingertip brush and a "Take care, sweetheart" from Michael Buble, as well as a flying kiss from Nick Carter - in both incidents Rolla forgot how to breathe. Rolla's University of Toronto degree in communications, political science, and theater is evidence of her diverse interests. When she is not writing, Rolla enjoys her obsession with fairies, coffee shops, and working out, (while watching television, of course!).
