Though critics have called LeAnn Rimes everything from a ‘husband stealer’ to ‘cheater,’ Rimes insists that she’s not.

Rimes, 28, claims that love made her cheat on her ex-husband, Dean Sheremet, with Eddie Cibrian, 37, who was also married at the time of the affair.
In a special report called “All Access Nashville,” Rimes tells ABC’s Robin Roberts, “That’s just not me. What happened is not who I am, period.”
While Cibrian and Rimes happily live together, Rimes says he has no regrets about choosing love, “I do know how much I love him. So, I’ve always said I don’t live my life with regret. I can’t.
Rimes insists that her and Cibrian’s affair wasn’t unusual, “It happens every day to so many people. You had two couples whose marriages didn’t work who really stumbled upon each other and fell in love.”
The singer accepts that people, including her fans, will never get over her affair. “Nothing I’m going to say is going to change it. I do know that, and I have accepted that,” Rimes says.
Cibrian reiterates Rimes’ feelings, adding, “The truth is that we’re human beings. We make mistakes and we learn from them, but we’re human. We fell in love.”
Rimes happily admits that her relationship with Cibrian has developed, “We’re really happy in what we feel privately.”
And with Cibrian’s recently Tweeted photo of him “proposing” to Rimes in a Halloween trick (read more here), it looks like they may be heading down the aisle soon.
The ABC special is set to air Wednesday night.
