Miley Cyrus refuses to get in the middle of her parents’ divorce after their 17 years of marriage.
Cyrus won’t choose between her parents, Tish, 43, and Billy Ray, 49.
A source close to the pop star told People, “Miley is not taking any sides on this. She has been upset recently. She’s trying to keep everything private while her family works through this.”
In the legal divorce documents Billy Ray Cyrus, 49, filed on October 26th, he asks to “share the care, custody and control” of he and his wife’s three youngest children, Noah, 10, Braison, 16 and 17-year-old Miley (read more here).
Tish left her L.A. home to Nashville earlier this week, while Billy Ray headed to Indianapolis on Monday to sing the national anthem at the NFL’s Monday Night Football Colts vs. Texans game.
Miley is headed to Madrid this week to prepare for her performance at MTV’s European Music Awards on Sunday.
