In Due Date, Peter Highman is an expectant first-time father whose wife’s due date is a mere five days away. As Peter hurries to catch a flight home from Atlanta to be at her side for the birth, his best intentions go completely awry when a chance encounter with aspiring actor Ethan Tremblay forces Peter to hitch a ride with Ethan–on what turns out to be a cross-country road trip that will ultimately destroy several cars, numerous friendships and Peter’s last nerve.

The Due Date cast includes Robert Downey Jr., Zach Galifianakis, Michelle Monaghan, Jamie Foxx, Juliette Lewis and Danny McBride.

Due Date received mixed reviews from the critics.

“A Due Date comedy lovers won’t want to miss.” -Roger Moore, Orlando Sentinel

“The movie probably contains enough laughs to satisfy the weekend audience. Where it falls short is in the characters and relationships.” -Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

“The unexpected pairing of Galifianakis and Downey is a pleasure — they’re an unlikely duo so off in their chemistry as to be bizarrely on.” -Lisa Schwarzbaum, Entertainment Weekly

“It’s got some individual laughs here and there but lacks sufficient story or character development to hold the whole endeavor together.” -Christy Lemire, Associated Press
