Kelly Osbourne Reveals Weight Loss Secrets, Credits DWTS for Size 2 Body

Kelly Osbourne, who recently posed in a bikini for the first time for Shape magazine’s cover, says her experience on Dancing with the Stars helped her become the size 2 she is today and reveals other secrets to her weight loss.

Kelly Osbourne, who has lost over 50 pounds and is now a size 2, is crediting Dancing with the Stars and her DWTS partner Louis Van Amstel for kick-starting the weight loss.

“Louis van Amstel and Dancing with the Stars changed my life, and as cheesy and cliché as that sounds, America had a hugest part in that,” she tells Access Hollywood.

“By picking up the phone and voting for me every week, and all the amazing things they said, [they] gave me the confidence to keep going at something that I was so scared and so terrified to do.”

Kelly Osbourne says the success of her weight loss came from being “more conscious of what I eat and what I don’t.” She says her weight loss secrets include:

  • Cutting back on soda – “Instead of having 10 sodas in a day, I’ll have one. And instead of having potato chips, I’ll have rice cakes.”
  • Ditching convenience food – “Get rid of your microwave! It’s the easiest thing to chuck some three-minute meal in. If you don’t have one, you’ll pick up something fresh.”
  • Positive frame of mind – “I find that when I get depressed, that’s when I gain it all back. But as soon as I start working and I’m productive and I feel good about myself, the weight just goes.”
