Twilight Set in Brazil Attacked

It seems that some Brazilians aren’t Team Edward or Team Jacob.

The Twilight set in Rio de Janeiro has reportedly come under attack, while shooting Breaking Dawn continues.

Rio de Janeiro locals have gotten frustrated by the disruption that the production has created. They took to the streets to protest this past weekend. The protests got violent and included setting fire to the crew’s portable toilet.

Starpulse reports that locals are fed up with the disruption to traffic that the movie has caused.

According to the AFP, security around the production was increased in August, after a shoot-out occurred at the hotel where the cast and crew are staying.

Breaking Dawn is the final movie of the Twilight Saga. Like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the last Twilight book by Stephanie Meyer will be split into two films.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 is set to hit theaters November 18, 2011.

Hey, at least they’re not siding with werewolves over vampires, or vice-versa.

Rolla's University of Toronto degree in communications, political science, and theater is evidence of her diverse interests. When she is not writing, Rolla enjoys her obsession with fairies, coffee shops, and working out, (while watching television, of course!).
