Kate Plus Eight’s Kate Gosselin and her eight kids go on a camping trip in Alaska with Sarah Palin. The two families fish for salmon, hike on glaciers and cook s’mores.
“I have never camped for real,” Kate says in a clip released from Usmagazine.com for Sarah Palin’s Alaska.
During the Sarah Palin’s Alaska episode that airs on Dec. 12 at 9 PM, the Gosselin family learns about bear safety from a ranger and experiences a true camping trip in the wilderness that greatly differs from sleeping in tents in the backyard.
Kate is filmed in a raincoat complaining, “I’m chilled to the bone” and “I’m hungry.”
“Come on, it wasn’t that bad,” Sarah jests to the cameras. “Our ruggedness is really a mystery to the people in the lower 48.”
Holding a rifle, the Alaskan native jokes that she’ll have to protect Kate.
