Ashton Kutcher is furious over the release of a sex tape that uses his name and features the woman who claims to be Kutcher’s mistress, Brittney Jones.
News broke that Vivid Entertainment planned to release a sex tape of Brittney Jones, using Kutcher’s name on the cover to boost sales. Ashton Kutcher is now taking legal action against the company behind the video.
It is said that the Brittney Jones porn video would feature a cover that says, “She claims to be Ashton’s Mistress… Could She Have Made A Superstar Stray?” The tape actually features Brittney Jones having sex with her current boyfriend, but Vivid plans to use Ashton Kutcher’s name to help sell it.
In a press release regarding the tape, Vivid Entertainment wrote, “Ashton’s fans will undoubtedly enjoy seeing what the star himself may have experienced.”
Ashton Kutcher’s lawyers sent a legal letter to Vivid Entertainment, claiming Vivid is infringing on the Kutcher’s “marketable celebrity identity value.”
Vivid spokesperson Jackie Markham told RadarOnline.com: “We intend to release the video — only Ashton’s first name is on the cover.”
“The whole situation is now in the hands of our lawyers. But again we are planning to release the tape.”
Vivid Entertainment founder and co-chairman Steve Hirsch told TMZ, “We received the letter late this afternoon and I immediately forwarded it to my attorney. We will respond accordingly.“
