James Cameron loves 3-D. He also loves teaming up with Cirque du Soleil, Shrek director Andrew Adamson and the production company Reel FX Entertainment to embark on the production of a 3-D movie and series, basically changing the world as we live it.
According to Reuters, James Cameron, who is famous for his science fiction film Avatar, said that teaming up with the Canadian performance troupe ”will mesmerize audiences of all ages around the world.”
Already developing two Avatar sequels (please be good – please be good), Cameron said in a statement that the images being shot are “stunning.” He added, “Andrew Adamson will weave them into a transporting, dreamlike narrative.”
According to industry insider Deadline New York, Andrew Adamson will – in other words – sew the narrative footgage together with Cirque’s acrobatic performances to create an epic storyline.
Cirque du Soleil has been amazing audiences in Las Vegas shows such as “O,” The Beatles “Love,” ”Zumanity” and “Mystere.” In addition to Shrek, Andrew Adamson has directed The Chronicles of Narnia and has worked with the visual effects for Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. James Cameron just looks good behind a camera lens.
