The night began with all eight groups performing the Kings of Leon song Use Somebody together.

The theme for the second episode was hit songs from the last five years. The judges, Ben Folds, Nicole Scherzinger and Shawn Stockman, will again choose two groups to be eliminated.

Here is a list of what the ten groups sang Wednesday night:

On The Rocks – Live Your Life by T.I. and Rihanna

Street Corner Symphony – Hey, Soul Sister by Train

Eleventh Hour – Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars

Jerry Lawson and Talk of the Town – Mercy by Duffy

The Backbeats – Breakeven by The Script

Committed – Apologize by One Republic

Groove for Thought – Cooler Than Me by Mike Posner

The Whiffenpoofs – Haven’t Met You Yet by Michael Bublé

After the first four performances, Nick Lachey announced that Eleventh Hour was heading home. The last 4 groups performed and it was revealed that The Whiffenpoofs would be the second group to be eliminated.

It appears that at this point, based on performances and judges feedback, that Committed and Street Corner Symphony are the front runners to win the competition.

What did you think of the performances and who do you think is going to win this season?

The next episode of The Sing-Off will air on NBC Monday, December 13 at 8/7c.
