“In life, it seems, there are people who break things and people who fix them. This man is a fixer,” Walter’s said on the ABC special, 10 Most Fascinating People of 2010. “A lot depends on General Petraeus and his combination of humanity and strength.”

Former Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin made the list for the third consecutive year, coming in at number two this year. Others who made the list (in order) were newly engaged British royalty Kate Middleton, basketball superstar LeBron James, new American Idol Judge Jennifer Lopez, Sandra Bullock, the cast of The Jersey Shore, pop-sensation Justin Bieber, Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg and Betty White.

First lady Michelle Obama was named the Most Fascinating Person in 2009, President-elect Barack Obama was named Most Fascinating in 2008 and past honorees include J.K. Rowling, Nancy Pelosi, Camilla Parker Bowles, Paris Hilton, Laura Bush, Lance Armstrong, Gen. Tommy Franks, Colin Powell, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, Nelson Mandela and more.

Shows you how out of touch Ms. Walters is.

Who topped (by a wide margin) Time Magazine’s Person of the Year list as voted on by readers: Julian Assange. He also won Le Monde’s Man of the Year and he is currently nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

His name isn’t even mentioned here. Jersey Shore beats Julian Assange. That’s what’s truly fascinating here, although it isn’t because Ms. Walters is no longer a journalist.

And General Petraeus as a fixer? Please. The man is responsible for “fixing” the deaths of how many Afghan rebels and civilians? How fascinating!

    What a joke.
