Most Influential Twitter Celebrity of 2010: Justin Bieber

He may not be TIME magazine’s person of the year, but Justin Bieber has been named Forbes‘ Most Influential Twitter Celebrity of 2010.

A Klout study was compiled for Forbes that ranked celebrities based on their “klout,” or social media influence. The company defines this as a measure of the “impact of your opinions, links and recommendations across your social graph.”

The celebrities were ranked on their klout scores, which were compiled using an algorithm that takes into account 35 factors, including a celebrity’s number of retweets and followers.

Justin Bieber had the highest klout score, with a perfect 100. Coming in second with a score of 96 was Brazilian novelist Paulo Coelho. Third was Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers with 92.
