The Associated Press has voted 88-year-old Betty White as the 2010 Entertainer of the Year for her age-defying success.
“It’s ridiculous,” White says of the honor. “They haven’t caught on to me, and I hope they never do.”
Some of Betty White’s accomplishments include boosting the ratings of Saturday Night Live and set a TV Land record for her show Hot in Cleveland.
AP members were asked to vote for who they thought had the most influence on the entertainment world and culture in 2010, and White beat out stars such as the cast of Glee, Conan O’Brien and James Cameron.
Previous winners of the Associated Press’ Entertainer of the Year include Taylor Swift, Tina Fey and Stephen Colbert.
