This past weekend SNL’s skit ”The Miley Cyrus Show” poked fun at the pop singer’s recent controversial video of her smoking salvia and getting high from a bong. The video was taped by a good friend and then posted on TMZ.
SNL’s Vanessa Bayer who plays Miley Cyrus in “The Miley Cyrus Show” explains that she learned a very valuable lesson: “Don’t let your friend videotape you when you’re doin’ stuff.”

After host Cyrus addresses her public drug-use controversy (“Here’s What Happened When I Smoked Drugs”), fake Billy Ray responds in front of the faux show’s band, “Miley, you’re my role model.” Jeff Bridges was the guest of “The Miley Cyrus Show” and played the role of actor Nick Nolte who was interviewed about his media scandal. Bridges as Nolte told “host Miley Cyrus,” that his advice is if you’re “ever tempted to drink or do drugs, just take a look at my mug shot.”
Bayer as Cyrus then showed a clip of an after-school special advising against the dangers of drug use. In the clip, Cyrus is offered drugs to be popular and she responds, “no way.”
Aside from the SNL skit, earlier this month Cyrus’s friend Anna Oliver videotaped 18-year-old Cyrus as she got high from the legal herb salvia. In the video, Cyrus hit the bong and started hallucinating over her ex-boyfriend Liam Hemsworth. “I’m having a little bit of a bad trip,” Cyrus said. The former Disney star then broke out into a fit of giggles after her friend called her a “buzzkill.”
Reportedly the So Undercover star is looking past the bong scandal and doesn’t think it’s a big deal.
