Lindsay Lohan will check out of the Betty Ford Clinic Tuesday, Jan. 4 2011, according to her father Michael Lohan.
Lohan has been in court-ordered rehab for three months recovering from her substance abuse addictions. Lohan entered rehab Sept. 27 after failing her drug test and violating her probation. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden Fox overturned a decision for the actress to go to jail and instead mandated that she go to rehab.
According to CNN, Judge Fox told Lohan during her last court appearance in October, “You have to change your lifestyle.” Otherwise, Lohan will destroy her reputation and be “unemployable and uninsurable.”
Lohan was scheduled for a release date past the new year to prevent her from partying on New Years Eve. She will move into her new Los Angeles home. Michael Lohan said he’s been preparing for her homecoming and buying new closets for her large wardrobe. She is scheduled to finish her rehab next week.
Lohan’s next appearance in court is Feb. 25. If she fails another test or violates any terms of her probation, she will be sent to jail for 180 days. Her supervised probation will be dismissed if she remains sober and follows her court-ordered regulations.
Earlier this fall, Lohan said via Twitter, “Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps.”
Throughout the past three years, Lohan has been arrested multiple times for probation violation, drunken driving, a failed drug test and cocaine possession.
Happy New Year Lilo!
