Grobanites, as Josh Groban fans call themselves, were delighted to tune into Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday for Josh Groban’s appearance and performance of “Voce Existe Em Mim” off his new album, Illuminations. But this wasn’t the only performance fans got to enjoy.

Jimmy Kimmel announced that Groban is releasing a new type of “cover album” that would “put him back in the Grammy race next year.”

In the commercial for this new album, Groban introduced himself as “Oscar and Grammy nominated singer Josh Groban” and then asked, “Do you love Kanye West Tweets as much as I do?” Afterwards, he introduced his new album, “Josh Groban’s The Best Tweets of Kanye West.”

The very funny Groban arranged Kanye West’s Tweets into lyrics of several songs he performed as he played the piano. The infamous Tweets were also displayed at the bottom of the screen.

In true Groban fashion, he belted out Tweets like “Can we please toast to the mother-[bleeping] douchebags tonight!!!” and “Fur pillows are actually hard to sleep on,” as if they were love ballads.

In between song clips, Groban said, “At most his Tweets are 140 characters, but the depth of his passion is immeasurable.”

Other sung Kanye Tweets include “Classical music is tight yo,” “French fries are the devil,” and “Black is the new black.”

The skit had advertised that Groban is releasing a new collection of 48 CDs filled with 752 original songs, and finished with Groban belting out Kanye’s Tweet, “I love me!!!!!!!!!!!!”

After the show, Groban posted the YouTube link and Tweeted “It was an honor to sing these. I sincerely hope he doesn’t lash out at me with sick floetry.”

Watch the entire clip here.

This is absolutely amazing. Kudos to Josh Groban for showing off his funny side. As Groban wrote, let’s hope Kanye doesn’t go ballistic towards him! Maybe they’ll meet at an awards show and Kanye won’t let Groban finish?
