“Karma’s a bitch” for Eva Longoria, Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds find solace together, Kelsey Grammer falls in love with his prototype, Tiger Woods will always cheat, and Brad Pitt set the bar too high for Jennifer Aniston. Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger weighs in on celebrity couples and breakups.
Bravo’s Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger, the audacious authority on love and relationships, opened up to the Huffington Post on why Hollywood stars divorce, break up or remain single.
On Eva Longoria:
The Desperate Housewives actress, who is divorcing NBA player Tony Parker, is at least six months to a year away from being set up. In Stanger’s eyes, Longoria is angry – serious – seriously angry and “there’s no man who can fit into an angry woman’s pocket.” Longoria needs counseling and if there is a rebound, it’s a relationship based on vengeance, not love.
“The rumor on the street was she cheated on her first husband. Karma’s a bitch. If you cheat, it will come back to you. If you treat women or men like shit, you will pay the price. The bill comes due,” Stanger said.
On Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock:
Both recently single, Green Hornet star Ryan Reynolds and Golden Globe winner Sandra Bullock have been making headlines because of a rumored romance. According to Stanger, Reynolds and Bullock are wounded, friends and finding “solace in each other.” The matchmaker said that she’s met Reynolds before and she told her friend Jenny McCarthy that “he looked sadder than life” and seemed “miserable.” Bullock, who Stanger also thinks is deeply hurting, said “I’m scared. I don’t wanna be fixed up till I’m sixty.”
On Kelsey Grammer:
Kelsey Grammer is a jumper. He plays games and seeks highs. Stanger pegs the ex-alcoholic and ex-drug addict as a “fall-in-love guy” who’s after a protoype: “a little innocent chickadee… something simple and sweet.” The Bravo matchmaker said Grammer’s ex-wife Camille is “a handful” and “a little nutty,” and the Frasier star was ready for the next. No one can say how long this airline stewardess will last but “rebound marrying isn’t always bad.”
On Tiger Woods:
Stanger said that cheating is a result of something deeper that has been going on for years in a relationship. “There’s always a why. And it’s not always one-sided,” she added. Serial cheaters do exist though – and for Tiger Woods, he is and always will be a cheater – no matter who he’s with.
On Jennifer Aniston:
Stanger thinks Jennifer Aniston is going to have the “hardest time of all” because ex-husband Brad Pitt set the bar high. “I feel bad for her,” Stanger said. “She just said recently, ‘I’d give up my career for love,’ and I’m in the same place as her and I agree with it.”
Dating tips for the non-celebrity?
If you are also either in the dating scene or looking to get on board, Stanger has some advice. “You gotta look good and keep it up,” she said. “You’re just gonna be the best you can be physically… And it’s just a fact of nature.”
