CBS entertainment chief Nina Tassler says the network is concerned about Two and a Half Men star Charlie Sheen, 45, who has recently been in the news for his hard partying with adult film stars.
“We have a high level of concern. How could we not?” Tassler said at the Television Critics Association press tour in Pasadena on Friday. “This man is a father. He’s got children. He has a family. So obviously there’s concern on a personal level.”
Tassler says their concern is on a personal level, but they are very happy with his professional performance.
“Charlie is professional,” she adds. “He comes to work. He does his job extremely well. It’s very complicated … The show is a hit, and that’s all I have to say.”
Tassler says they have expressed their concern to Sheen (who is the highest paid actor on primetime comedy TV), but they don’t plan to do anything on a professional level.
