The Real Madrid captain told the Spanish national daily sports newspaper Marca, “It’s a different responsibility, but I’m liking it. Of course I change my son’s diapers! It’s not my favorite thing to do in the world, but I do it.”

The Portuguese athlete added that marriage is in his future and he would like to have more children some day.

“I would love it if he liked football and were my successor,” Ronaldo said of his son. “But we’ll see what happens. He’s going to be whatever he wants to be.”

Ronaldo’s girlfriend, Russian model Irina Shayk, has been supportive of her boyfriend’s exclusive guardianship over his six month old. Us Weekly reports that Ronaldo’s mother and two sisters have been helping Ronaldo raise the baby.

“My son goes to sleep early, but my mother told me that the other day, while we were playing, he wouldn’t stop crying and he didn’t want to go to sleep until I had scored,” said the highest paid football player in the world. “After I scored, he fell asleep within five minutes.”

Speculation circulated that the true identity of Ronaldo’s son’s mother is an American waitress who the “multi-millionaire playboy” had a one night stand with. Once she got pregnant, his mother arranged a paternity deal for the baby to be raised in Portugal with Ronaldo. He paid reportedly paid $15.1 million for the mother’s silence and for his exclusive guardianship.

Last summer he wrote on his Facebook announcing the birth of his baby boy, “It is with great joy and emotion that I inform I have recently become father to a baby boy.”

Ronaldo is currently not only the hottest international football player, err, Dad, but also the most expensive football player after his $132 million transfer from the team Manchester United to Real Madrid in 2009.
