E!’s third Kardashian reality TV series, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, debuts this Sunday evening.
The series spotlights the Kardashian sisters as they open a larger-scale Dash boutique in SoHo and in the first episode, tensions are apparent as the two sisters are clearly in two different places in their lives.
Since Kim is single and Kourtney is a young mom who is dating boyfriend Scott Disick, the two Kardashians lack common ground, especially during their first night out together in New York.
“You’re such a whore!” Kim shouted as Kourtney ditched her younger sister at the Lex Bar. “This is so typical.”
Kim’s friend Carla is fortunately also out for the night to play Kim’s ”wing[wo]man.” Kim has a run-in with former co-star Michael Copon from Beyond the Break. The two eventually meet for a date at Serendipity. Copon ends up at Kim’s place afterward and immediately dating rumors start to circulate…
The Kourtney and Time Take New York season can be summed up in their press release that states:
“In the premiere episode, veteran businesswomen Kourtney and Kim arrive in New York City ready to get to work on the construction and opening of their third DASH store – the most glamorous one to date. However, the sisters are a bit overwhelmed when they learn that things aren’t going according to plan. Meanwhile, Kourtney is thrilled to have Scott join her in his home state, and contemplates having him move into her hotel suite, much to Kim’s chagrin. But single-in-the-city Kim is excited to get a romance of her own started, and when she spots an old friend during a night out on the town, sparks fly. But his actions leave Kim wondering if his motives are pure.”
Kourtney told PEOPLE during a CIROC Vodka New Year’s Eve party in Miami Beach, “Since we were filming Kourtney & Kim Take New York while opening our newest Dash boutique, we were shocked at how much harder it was to open a store in New York as compared to Los Angeles and Miami”.
