After having conquered Seaside Heights and Miami, the Jersey Shore cast and their circus act shenanigans are heading overseas for a fourth season in Italy.
“Europe is a fresh spin on a show that continues to reach new heights for us,” Chris Linn, MTV’s EVP of programming, said in a statement. “The cast is headed to the birthplace of the culture they love and live by. We can’t wait to see what erupts as a result.”
The location has yet to be determined but we can assume that the locals will have quite the response. MTV producers also want to arrange an authentic, ”famous Guadagnino dinner” with Vinny Guadagnino’s family. The network promises that our fun-loving group will ”turn the beautiful country upside down” – and represent American culture well.
“While the stateside Jersey Shore locales have become iconic for our audience, it’s really the constantly evolving dynamic amongst the cast that keeps them coming back each season,” Linn added.
Filming is slated to being in May.
Last week 8.9 million viewers tuned in to watch the group have Sunday dinner and party late into the night. The series’ season 3 premiere earned 8.45 million viewers, which made it the network’s most viewed series telecast in its history.
Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio will star in his own Jersey Shore spinoff that was filmed in September. Adoring fans will be able to see Pauly D partying and working on his music career.
