Vanessa Hudgens is the New Face of Candie’s: Photos of the Spring Campaign

Candie’s announced that actress Vanessa Hudgens has signed on to be the brand’s 2011 spokesmodel for its spring collection.

“Ever since I saw Fergie do the ads for Candie’s, I fell in love,” Hudgens says in her promo clip. “It’s such an honor to be a Candie’s girl now. I was so excited to see the range of the Candie’s products.”

Photographed by Tony Duran at the Pink Motel in Sun Valley, Calif., Hudgens is featured for the campaign as she danced in a motel diner, lounged in a motel room and posed poolside in a hot pink, retro bikini.

“We had a blast shooting the campaign. One of my favorite sets was using the diner countertop as a runway. It’s definitely not every day I get to do that,” the actress says.

The photos for the clothing brand, which is sold exclusively at Kohls Department Stores and, will debut this March. Styled in flirty florals and bright, summery dresses, Hudgens will be promoted online, on billboards and in magazines such as Seventeen, Teen Vogue and Cosmopolitan.

Hudgens is replacing the Candie’s former spokesmodel Britney Spears who represented the brand for two years.

“So fun being a Candie’s Girl!” Spears wrote on her Twitter. “Look out for the @Candiesbrand pics of their new girl, Vanessa Hudgens!”

Hudgens tweeted to the pop star on Candie’s official Twitter page. “Thnx, @BritneySpears, you’re a tough act to follow,” the boho fashionista wrote. “But, I’m so excited to be the new Candie’s girl for 2011!! — xo, Vanessa.”

The 22-year-old High School Musical Star joins the list of former Candie’s girls that include Fergie, Ashlee Simpson, Hilary Duff, Kelly Clarkson and Jenny McCarthy.

Hudgens fans can also look forward to March, which is when her movie Beastly hits theaters. The Beauty and the Beast modern-day adaptation is due out March 4.
