Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria and professional basketball player Tony Parker finalized their divorce in a Texas courtroom Friday, January 28, 2011.
The couple met in 2004 and had a storybook wedding in a European castle in 2007.
Longoria, 35, filed for divorce in November 2010 and confirmed their split via Twitter that same month, Tweeting “It is with great sadness that after 7 years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce. We love each other deeply and pray for each other’s happiness.”
The divorce papers cited “irreconcilable differences”, but rumors of that Parker, 38, was cheating immediately began to emerge.
The couple had a prenuptial agreement signed the month before their wedding and updated two years later. Longoria had sought support from Parker, who is a San Antonio Spurs point guard, but there was no word as to if she received that.
Parker’s rep confirmed that the divorce was final but declined any further comment.
