After Heidi Montag Tweeted that she was in talks with producers about being a cast member on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Bravo executive Andy Cohen said he would rather put knives in his eyes than see Montag on the show. Montag is upset by his comments and says they were “hurtful and completely unnecessary.”
All of this began with a Tweet by Heidi Montag on Tuesday that said, “Watch out Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Here comes Heidi,” linking to an online article that said she and husband Spencer Pratt were talking to producers about joining the Real Housewives.
On his show Thursday, Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen said Montag would not be on Real Housewives, in not so nice words.
“Professionally, I’m not supposed to discuss any negotiations so I have to parse my words here,” Cohen said. “That trash is delusional and I would sooner stab … knives into my own eyes than see her on this network.
“But good news, Heidi, you’re on my show tonight because you’re the Jackhole of the Week.”
The former Hills star was upset by this comment, telling People, “Andy’s tasteless remarks were hurtful and completely unnecessary. I was simply being playful. I’m well aware I’m not the right demo for that show, but Andy Cohen took it to a malicious place. I have always been a fan of the Housewives franchise and I don’t appreciate being bullied.”
