Looks like there’s a new baker in town! Valastro and his wife welcomed their fourth child at 5:11 p.m. on Monday February 14th. The Cake Boss calls the Valentine’s Day birth “pretty perfect.”

He tells People, “What a perfect Valentine’s Day gift. What kind of a Valentine’s Day gift do you and [your] wife want [more] than a new baby?”

This is Valastro and Lisa’s fourth child. Baby Carlos joins his two brothers, Buddy, Jr. and Marco, and older sister Sofia.

Valastro was excited to show his other kids the baby. “I said, ‘Carlo, welcome to the jungle.  My oldest, Sofia, is really, really gentle and wants to help, [but] the boys are going to make him rough at a young age! They don’t want to let him go. They want to hold him and kiss him and hug him.”

Carlos’ name honors the family bakery, Carlo’s, as well as former colleague Sal Picinich, who died of cancer two weeks ago.

Valastro revealed that he’s taking a break to spend time with his family.

“I just feel so blessed and so happy. I came from a big family of five so I believe in having a lot of children and I think it’s really nice, especially when a family grows up tight and together like me and my family did. I’m carrying those values on to my kids.”

Does this mean Baby Carlos is on his way to working in the bakery? Valastro says, “Like we say in the bakery, the kitchen’s closed!”

Congratulations to the happy couple. Time to eat some cake!

A committed soap opera freak--err, fan, Rolla Bahsous was thrilled to begin her professional writing career writing about everything soaps. But her love for television did not stop at daytime! Rolla is excited to be using her guilty pleasure, following celebrity gossip, at Rolla's had a few encounters with her favorite celebs, including a fingertip brush and a "Take care, sweetheart" from Michael Buble, as well as a flying kiss from Nick Carter - in both incidents Rolla forgot how to breathe. Rolla's University of Toronto degree in communications, political science, and theater is evidence of her diverse interests. When she is not writing, Rolla enjoys her obsession with fairies, coffee shops, and working out, (while watching television, of course!).
