Jennifer Aniston turned 42 this past weekend. To celebrate, she vacationed with friends and spent time with pals Adam Sandler and Hugh Jackman at the Spotted Pig in NYC. She isn’t afraid to admit though that she’s a bit uncomfortable with her age and being an unwilling participant in the over-40 category.
“All of a sudden you’re labeled; you’re a number,” she said on The Rachael Ray Show that airs Wednesday, according to Us Weekly. “It wasn’t like 30-plus or 30 something. It’s just that - all of sudden, it’s like, ‘Wow for your age, not so bad.’ It’s like what?”
Being a member of the over-40 club actually hurts “a little bit” for Aniston.
“All of a sudden they’re makng it sound like life is coming very shortly to an end. It’s weird,” the Just Go With It star said.
Despite her discomfort being two years into her forties, Aniston remains in the best shape of her life.
“If you’re consistently working out, your metabolic rate is constantly at a level where it’s kind of burning,” Aniston told PEOPLE. Her workout routine includes pilates, yoga and cardio four days a week – even if she’s on vacation.
“Get up, have breakfast, have a workout, do something great outside,” she says referring to her birthday getaway. “Yeah, I know, it’s annoying,” she says, laughing. “But that way you feel great.”
