So how do they do it? The Hollywood Reporter says mom Kris Jenner is the brains behind the big fame and money the Kardashians now have.

“We’re just this big family with a lot of drama and a lot of issues, and there’s someone here for everyone to relate to,” 55-year-old Kris Jenner told The Hollywood Reporter.

“I think if you’ve ever been embarrassed by your family – like your mother’s a kook or your father’s too strict – the show gives you hope. I’ve had so many people come over to me and say, ‘I remember the episode where you were crying over blah, blah, blah and it helped me so much and I got through my dad’s death because of you.’”

Khloe Kardashian, 26, says, “My mother has just always been this ‘Let’s make water into wine’ person…She knows how to take one small talent or ability and grow it into something huge.”

Jenner’s friend Scott Sassa tells THR, “Look at Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg…Two guys that didn’t finish college ended up billionaires. Sometimes just raw energy and intelligence wins out.”

I must say, it is pretty gutsy to compare the Kardashians to Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg….

You do have to give the woman credit though. She has made an empire out of her daughters and has earned the family millions. Their success is truly an amazing phenomenon.

It all started back in 2007 when Keeping Up With the Kardashians began airing on E! Now in it’s sixth season, the show has not only lasted longer than anyone ever expected, but there have been multiple spin-offs, including Khloe & Kourtney Take Miami, Kourtney and Kim Take New York and Khloe and Lamar’s new show will start shooting this spring. In addition to their successful reality TV shows, the Kardashians have slews of endorsement deals and charge for Tweets and appearances. Kim reportedly charges as much as $25,000 to mention a brand in a Tweet, and most family members include a “Twitter clause” in their contracts. THR said that Kim can charge up to $100,000 to $250,000 to appear at an event, and even $1 million abroad.

So how long can this success last?

Jenner says, “My fantasy is to have Keeping Up With Kardashians, Season 26…Who knew it would be this profitable? I should have had more kids.”
