Transformers star Megan Fox is one of Hollywood’s hottest sex symbols – but when it comes to her body, the actress has a hard time gaining weight.
Thin celebrities are quick to be judged as having an eating disorder, but Fox’s personal trainer Harley Pasternak insists that Fox is far from anorexic.
“Do I worry about Megan getting too skinny? Yeah!” Pasternak tells hollywoodlife.com.
Pasternak, who also trains Robert Pattinson, Katy Perry and Amanda Seyfried, explains that Fox has a “really fast metabolism.”
“Her training is all about body toning and sculpting. With her it’s really about [if] she’s eating enough of the right things. People thought ‘Oh she must be anorexic’ but she’s far from that!” the trainer adds.
Pasternak says that Fox gets upset when she hears that people think she has an eating disorder. She gets even more frustrated because she feels like she needs to put on weight, yet struggles to.
“She actually weight trains to keep on that lean muscle tissue.”
How do Fox and Pasternak get that flat, toned mid-section?
“The key to Megan’s abs is first of all genetics,” Pasternak says. It’s not about hundreds of crunches. They work Fox’s abs on all three planes.
“It’s about working her body up and down and side to side and rotation. We train all three of her rectus abdominis, her obliques and her corset muscle to make sure that her abs are not just tight and strong – but small. The corset pulls it all in.”
The three-plane ab training must be thee secret for a toned body. The actress just recently showed off her fit figure in a black and white Armani ad wearing Emporio Armani underwear and white jeans.
